Summary

Sometimes it’s the borders that make all the difference in a yard. For this Texas City project, the homeowner wanted a durable edging solution that would look good year-round and cut down on maintenance. The goal was to replace old mulch barriers with a custom concrete border that stands out and keeps things tidy.

The Work

Cleared out existing edging and debris to prepare the area
Compacted and leveled the base to prevent shifting
Mixed concrete to a smokey beige shade with desert tan highlights
Installed and shaped the curbing to match the agreed design
Stamped and colored the border, then sealed it for protection

The Outcome

The new edging now gives the planting beds a clean, finished look. It holds up against weather, needs very little upkeep, and blends naturally with both the grass and garden. Custom color and pattern choices made the border feel like a natural fit for the space.
